debute book of poems "My anger"
In 1945, his debut book of poems, My Anger, was published. In the poems Sweet Thoughts, My Anger, Revenge, Letter to a Friend, Memory of a Hero included in the collection he praises the patriotism of a Soviet man who shows heroism at the front. In other poems – They Were not Ashamed, If You Come, Into Battle and My Work – he creates images of heroes who, hardened in fierce battles and in labor, are enriched with new features and bring victory over fascism closer. The release of this collection did not go unnoticed – Rashidov was accepted into the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan.

In the 1940s, Sharaf Rashidov worked mainly as a novelist, critic and journalist. He wrote more than fifty journalistic and literary critical articles. In his journalistic works The Verdict of History, The War is Retreating and May Morning included in a book published in 1949 under the title The Verdict of History, the author seems to be directly involved in the struggle for peace. Sharaf Rashidov's artistic style is acute social and political journalism, freely combined with poetry. This talent of his allowed Sharaf Rashidov to quickly become widely known to the Soviet reader, while he himself got acquainted with many Soviet writers. Among them was Alexander Fadeev, who in those years headed the Union of Writers of the USSR and was vice-president of the All-Union Peace Council. Later Sharaf Rashidov admitted that he considered Fadeev one of his teachers in matters of literature.
"ALEXANDER FADEEV'S THE DEFEAT TRANSLATED INTO UZBEK, AS WELL AS THE WONDERFUL CREATIONS OF MAXIM GORKY, VERY EARLY BECAME MY FAVOURITE WORKS. LEVINSON'S COURAGEOUS AND UNYIELDING CHARACTER, HIS BOUNDLESS DEDICATION TO THE CAUSE OF THE REVOLUTION, OPTIMISM, STRICT, ANALYTICAL MIND, HIGH DEMANDS ON HIMSELF – ALL THIS COULD NOT BUT CAUSE ADMIRATION, A DESIRE TO BE LIKE THE MAN WHOSE SPIRITUAL IMAGE WAS FORMED DURING THE FIERCE STRUGGLE FOR THE BRIGHT IDEALS OF COMMUNISM," SHARAF RASHIDOV ADMITTED.
